WHEN: Spring 1999 Show


WHY: This was the start of Alexander McQueen's incredible runway shows. While the entire Spring 1999 show was amazing, it was really the finale that was so historic. Model Shalom Harlow stood on a slowly circulating platform between two robots. Suddenly robots, which were really spray-paint devices used to paint cars, turned on and kind of danced around while painting her white dress. It was so beautiful and something you just have to see to believe!
