RING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH THESE 4 COCKTAILS

To close out 2015, I'm celebrating with champagne. Here's to a brand-new year! I'm all about bubbly with a twist for NYE, so you know I'll be sipping on one of these champagne cocktails when I count down.

And if you need to cure your hangover on New Year's Day, there's no shame in the morning mimosa game, LOL!!! Enjoy these four champagne cocktail recipes! :)

The French 751

Champagne + gin + lemon juice. Yaaaaas!

In a chilled cocktail shaker, mix together 2 ounces of gin, 1 teaspoon of super-fine sugar and half an ounce of lemon juice. Pour into a Collins glass half-full with cracked ice, and top off with your fave champagne.

The Passion Fruit Spritz2

This one has a little kick, just the way I like it.

Mix 1 teaspoon sugar with 1/2 teaspoon cayenne and dip 2 lightly wetted flutes into the mixture. Shake ice, 2 ounces passion fruit juice, 1/2 ounce simple syrup, and 1 ounce lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into the flutes, and top with champagne.

The Platinum Sparkle3

The name is good enough for me, LOL! Shake ice, 1-1/2 ounces vodka, 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur, 1/2 ounce Lillet blanc and 1/2 ounce lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled martini glass, stir in champagne and drop in a maraschino cherry.

The Elderflower Champagne4

This cocktail is pretty much the alcoholic version of my cucumber water.

Fill a tumbler with ice, then fill three-quarters of the glass with your go-to champagne. Add thinly sliced cucumber and fresh mint, and top off with St. Germain. Voilà!
