I've actually struggled with the pronunciation of this beauty brand for what feels like forever. After digging, I found that it's actually one of the most surprisingly easy words to say! Here's a hilarious video of other people trying to tackle it, too.
First of all, this is not the piece of furniture that holds clothes. Dressers are the saviors backstage who guarantee models look perfect (accessories and all) before hitting the runway. It's a super stressful job, especially when there are multiple outfit changes within one show. The whole thing has to happen within seconds!
Every now and then—no matter how much planning (and people BTS!) go into runway shows—things can go really wrong. In the '90s at Michael Kors, the ceiling actually caved in! Simon Doonan wrote in his book "Asylum": "I vividly remember the dust clearing and seeing Anna Wintour picking lumps of plaster out of Suzy Menkes's hair." Talk about an OMG moment! At Balenciaga in 2012, the benches broke and editors fell to the floor (check out the video above at 3:24)—everyone had to stand! Perhaps the most famous moment was when Naomi Campbell's dress split as she was walking for Tommy Hilfiger and the seamstress came running from backstage after her down the runway! No matter what happens, in fashion, the show. must. go. ON.
